How much is my watch worth: how we value it

There is no single price for a model: two watches with the same reference can be worth different amounts. Here is what we look at, in order of importance.

What we look at

• Brand, model and reference. This is the starting point: the reference identifies the exact version (material, dial, movement).
• Condition. Signs of wear on case and bracelet, crystal, original dial and hands. We also value polished watches; a watch that has never been polished, with the case edges still sharp, is a plus.
• Year of production. It comes from the serial number. Within the same reference, more recent, almost-new pieces are worth more.
• Box and papers. A "full set" (box and papers) can raise the price; not having them is no reason not to sell.
• Original parts and servicing. Original dial, bezel and bracelet, and a recent service, all count.
• The current market. Prices of the most sought-after models move: our offer reflects what sells today, not old price lists.
